Hi all

I need a pair of decent condition original fog lights for the phase 2. Any suggestions much appreciated. The current ones are pretty much finished. The drivers side is rusted to the bone!

Let me know

Cheers

Fog lights are composite backed, with a glass front and plastic surround, the only metal bits are the resined in bolts that do run. So i'm not sure which bits would be rusty.

If the reflective backing has come off then you can remove the glass, clean the back of the fog light, and spray with chrome very high temperature paint, re assemble, job done. I dont have any complete spares, might have a few lenses, but no good backs.

mk1 Renault clio fogs fit in with only one new hole needed and also gives it the slightly nicer yellow lense front giving it the more french look if you know what i mean!

the backing on the lights does have a habbit of flaking and rusting around the bulb holder, went through Loads of them with the 309 gti, but it had 2 fogs and 2 spots in the bumper! every time we were at thye breakers and saw some we had them!!

they do occasionally pop up on ebay buit normally fetch around £20+

Thanks for the prompt responses peeps.

The metal bits are of course the bolts (which are buggered!) and the contact strips & holder for the bulbs (also rusted out and crumbled!) and yes, the backs of the housing are completely "flaked up"... the rubber seal is also in a state, hence letting in water, collecting internally and turning yellow. You get the picture, they're pretty much screwed (EMF)!

Look forward to hearing from you Ollie

Will also keep an eye out on the Renault/Peugot suggestions...

Cheers
