Magnecore leds
Magnecore leds
Hi,
I have the car stopped and need to change the ignition leads, I want to buy a Magnecor set and found this shop online that has them: http://www.lkperformancestyling.co.uk/p ... oduct=4562
Does anyone know this store? Are these the correct leads? Is there another place to buy them that would ship them to Portugal? Are there another great or better ignition leads?

Get the 8.5mm ones - the smaller diameter ones aren't the proper silicone material and are no better than the stock parts.
Do a search on ebay or Google for Magnecor KV85 and you should find something - also do a search for Magnecor on here as there's links to at least 1 place that does them to order.

I've used these guys before for brake parts and their service is good
Price looks very competitive too

As Adrian has said, you require the 8.5mm leads.
I bought my last set from Graham Goode, here in Leicester:

They might do mail order to Portugal.

leads
The Mag leads are definitely high quality and will last indefinitely, I have the 8.5mm items and to fit them under the plug cover you need to remove the stiffening bars from it.
It is debateable on performance as a plug lead can only preserve what you put into it i.e. you can have the best leads in the world but if ypu put a weak spark intop them you will get a weak spark out.
IIRC the standard Bourgecord keads are almost £30 and pretty poor insulation wise so in the scheme of things the £45-£60 price tag isn't so bad.
Cheers

leads
IIRC the stiffening bars nip against the leads so I just took the step to prevent any chance of damage to them.
In fact I am not 100% sure if they are KV80 or 85 now
Cheers
