Fuel gauge

My gauge is eratic,sometimes it reads correct,sometimes no reading at all.Anyone know where it connects to the tank?
Looking for a dirty connection.

under the back seat iirc, drivers side,
just check that you have a good charge from the alternator as the fuel guage is one of the first things that starts to play up if not,

Well I dont have trouble with the battery,always seems fully charged,never fails to start now.So alternator looks good?

sounds like so!
could be an iffy connection or maybe the gauge is a bit iffy?

hi there, timmo is correct! if you lift the rear seats up you will see a circular black plastic cover on drivers side, the sender unit is just underneath that, think it screws or slots into the tank. mice chewed the gauge wires out on my silver valver when it was stored down by the farm. i found they had pushed the cover off and were using it as a door to get into and out of my car via the side of the fuel tank! they were soon evicted lol
