yeah it's like that with a normal 16V you can keep up nicely with most new cars but this is just goddamn insane
If you like you can register at www.bxsportief.com/forum the owner of the Dutch Rotrex valver is Mark Beek, his forum name is beek3762
It's one of the best upgrades I've ever seen on a valver (nah it's the best I guess)
Good thing you're working on the 6-speeder as well, the 5-speed box is just too short for this amount of HP. It should take you straight to 240KM/h with the 6-speed and I guess even that's not enough

yeah thats the problem mate i was always bouncing off the rev limiter with the 5 speeder it was doing 135mph on the limiter in 5th but it was no fun i think with the 6 speed it will have the power to hit 145-150mph in 6th but im not sure how a Bx would cope at that sort of speed.......(anyone ever been there?),my gearbox man Alan Cookson (ex Tran-X) wants to change the final drive on the diff from something out of a diesel lada.........yes you heard me right!!!! but who am i to argue?

I don't think it was DP, Mark has his own resources for this kind of work.
Allthough DP is a rather big name with the XU engines.
They've produced a Pug 205 GTI fitted with a XU10J4 RFS engine with a ginormous Garret GT30R turbo.
Check it out on youtube (I would supply a link but Yt is blocked from my work) search for "205 GT30R" you'll find the first vid ever made in that beast. According to its last dyno tests it has about 480HP in the front wheels..... imagine that in a 205
But personally I'm more interested in the Rotrex conversion as it gives such a smooth ride with soo much power when you want it.
That's one of the things I really enjoyed when driving Marks car. It's still the flying carpet a BX should be but when thinking about throttle it just rockets away.

Hello,
I'm the Mark Tony's talking about.
The Rotrex is done at RB Performance in The Hague. Specialist for Rotrex.
Some data:
0-60mph in 5 sec (sec. gear)
Top = 143 at 7000 rpm
50-75mph in 3rd gear in 3,6 sec
It wasn't a cheap job, over 5000 pounds, but the result is xtrme good and professional done.

hi mark, nice to meet you (well digitally at least!)
yeah top car mate, seen you giving it big licks and it looks awsome
I managed it slightly easier by buying a second hand kit of feautre Peugeot 205 dimma built by Forge motrsport.......which in turn somehow ended up in ireland being broken up
My performance figures are similar to yours, although its difficult to time the 0-60 time accuratly!,but im sure if I could get the power down it would be sub 5 seconds,
I did want to ask,did they change the comp ratio on your engine down to 9:5:1?or did they keep it at the stock D6C 10:4:1?,ive left mine stock but have fitted a Cometic steel headgasket....ive only covered 450 miles so far and all seems well.Just on with a six speed conversion as i was fed up of changing gear every 500 yards all this cold and snow doesnt help with motivation you know
Baring them 4TC's me and you must have the fastest Citroen bx's on earth
hope to catch you soon mark
take care

Hello there, I'm sure we can do better dan 5 seconds but the problem is how to get the power on the road! I'm waiting for the spring because I have some semislick Toyo's waiting.
The comp ratio isn't changed and I've allready driven more then 2000 miles without any problem.
I'm not sure that the 4TC's are faster, is only one way to find out........
This weekend I had a mini-meeting with a Peugeot 205 Griffe with Mi16 Turbo engine, with turbopressure up to 2 bar. According to the owner 250 bhp, but it wasn't nice to drive with. No traction at all.
Do you have a testreport? The result of mine where:
248 bhp engine / 219 on the wheels
Nice to meet you too

mark
I havnt had it on the dyno just yet but its going on as oon as its boxed back up with its new gearbox .Ive switched to "16" peugeot rims in a vain effort to try and reduce wheel spin, but im starting to think i should have opted for a Quaife ATB differential which i think will help know end.
One of the biggest problems i have when driving it now its got alot more power as is it trys to pull you out of a bend instead of into one which is a bit of a hand full sometimes. I like to keep my foot in and you cant really do that??
Anyway with me putting a pair of Kent pt 1604 cams in there ,aswell as my old Peugeot group A motorsport head its bordering on stupid,im guessing its a good 270-280 bhp at 0.8bar but i wont really know until its on the dyno.I need to double cheack that the Map's correct on the MF2 injector driver as im worried it may not be spot on
me and you will have to get together........you planning on bringing yourself and your car to the uk anytime soon?
bye
do you know anyone who's got a 4TC i thought only a handful were produced?

Bit of an update if anyones still intrested.Ive been thinking long and hard about the Rotrex conversion and doing a lot of research.Ive decided that the best way to factor in maximum performance and reliability is to get the Comp ratio to 9:5:1. I think ive managed to work this out by fitting DFW pistons which as we all know are 9:7:1 these have a 0.85mm shorter crown than the D6C ones.Ive also Comissioned Hiflowheads to build me a full blown stage 5 head which has 30.05 inlet valves with 6mm stems and 30.7 exhaust valves with 7mm stems. These are cut with 3 angle valve seats which recesses them further into the combustion chamber reducing the compression ratio even further.I have the CC figures from a similar head and done the calculations which i've based this engine on, So 9:5:1 is the optimum ratio ideal on pump fuel and standard ecu with a piggy back triggering two auxillary injectors from a 2 bar map sensor.
I figure you could get round the expected problems with knock and pinking on a D6C but it would require a powerful live ecu to retard the ignition under heavy load, but you would loose so much mid range torque it wouldn't be hardly worth bothering with the Rotrex.I think if i used a Omex 600 or a Vems on 9:5:1 with the other mad mechanical mods ive made, they is gains of about 40bhp to be had?

haha I wouldn't really mind if it was VW/Audi or the 3 pointed star.I just Can't stand beemers and the idiots that drive them.I used to have a pile of little BMW stickers in the glove box of my Renault 21 turbine and i used to hang it off the back bumpers of beemers in the outside lane after they had undertook me while im crusing at 90mph.most of them used to sh*t out at 120 and i used to undertake past at about 130 in my £1000 bangers french pile of shite.Id then at the next availabe oppertunity award the 21 with a little Bmw sticker on its nearside wing
You can go Kawasaki if you prefer. Also get's you solid lifters with a larger face too (all the better for high RPM awesomeness)
No need to travel that far for valves. Try Competition Valves Australia, Melbourne. A much better product, in addition to having a single collet groove (Kawasaki Z900/1000). Last price was AUS$66 per valve. Solid lifters are typically $30-$40 each. Also try Arrow. With the pound so low it's a great time to buy.
Also consider moving up to a 33mm bucket if your lifter bores are worn. Then use Kawasaki buckets and long stem valves.
I order them in 36.5mm and 30.0mm sizes.
