After market oil pressur gauges

Not really a Bx related problem but anyway. Anyone ever fitted an after market oil pressure gauge? All I am unsure of is wether or not I need to bleed the cappillery tube that runs from the block to the gauge?
Few people have said bleed it and a few others have said it will bleed the air its self
And of coarse the instructions are just wonderfull
