Hi all, I've just registered with this site tonight, but have viewed it before. I've had a 16v BX for 15 years and the time has come to move on!! The memories will go with me though!

I have a spare of nearly everything apart from the shell. Here is a short list of my spares;
Engine block with recent re-hone of bores+rings, recent big-end shells.
Two complete cylinder heads with in/out manifolds, throttle bodies.
Set of hardley used hydraulic tappits
Gearbox
Velour interior
Bonnet
Tailgate
Scorpion exhaust
Running gear
BX alloys with good Yokohama tyres
Engine management with BBR de-limited chip
Sunroof wind deflector
Four mint doors
Front wings X 4 (2l &2R)
Front bumper
Rear bumper
Other bits and bobs, just ask.

Then I will be selling my BX phase 2 in a couple of months. This has;
J Reg 1991
Colour is dark metallic green.
Milage - 114000miles
Kent cams
Larger throttle body
Superchips ECU chip
Induction kit
Modified gearbox - Bx16v box with 3rd & 4th gear from a 1.6 GTi Pug. this gearbox mod is the best performance increase you can do, it drives like a different car. I replaced the bearings at the same time.
Tarox discs
Quad headlights
16" alloys
MOMO steering wheel + snap-off adaptor (removable steering wheel)
Quick shift linkage
Full leather interior with all 4 headrests + spare leather rear seats.
Full stainless exhaust - Its loud but in a nice way.
Recent head rebuild with oem hydraulic tappets/guides/seals/cam belt.
Recent big end bearing shells (these allways seem to go!)
Cliffard alarm/imobiliser
Well maintained/good condition.
Nice Sony stereo with joystick on steering column.

Before I start drip feeding these onto Ebay I wanted you guys to have a chance at getting anything you need/want. If you are interested in anything - mail me and we'll sort a price and delivery out.

Hi and welcome to the forum :D

I know somebody who would be interested in the panels as they are restoring the bodywork on a Bx at the moment.

And I would be potentially interested in the car - would it be availalbe for viewing now and for sale later on :?:

Can you PM me your number and I'll give you a call.

Thanks,

Mike P.

Thanks for the welcome Mike, pm sent.

It would be one hell of a parcel to send that stuff to Taiwan, has anyone ever sent any big stuff over there before and have an idea of price?

The colour of the panels listed is 'Gunmetal Grey' it looks almost black to me, I'm sure it is a standard colour.

Hi Robin :D

I have no idea yet. I've asked Mark for some photos if possible, will keep you posted.

I just can't find a reasonable Phase 1 for sale (been looking for 6 months) so might have to come back to the Dark Side

Mike,

You probably will not find a resonable phase1 16v now, There too old and many have been broken up even the phase2 has had its day now. Its always the same ones that come up for sale changing hands for a few weeks/months then being re-sold on. There cant be that many left now which is one of the main reasons for hanging on to mine and sorting it out.

Good luck on the green one though, hope its ok and you get it

Mike,

If you do end up buying this one, I'd happily swap it for my Phase 1

I've been holding out for a black Phase 2 but they are all gone  Green would be my second choice... I have to say, it sounds like a good one.

Himbo: I think I'll send you a PM too, as I might be after one of those cylinder heads.

Cheers,
Matt

Hi all, yes it is the one with the subaru bonnet vent. I bought it in September 2004. It was on Ebay and the previous owner claimed it had all sorts of engine mods. I went up in my, now in bits, black BX 16v and put them straight. Then bought it.

I have just done a 170mile round trip today to buy another car. On the way back I was thinking, I dont want to get rid of this!!! 4th gear with the gearbox mod is awsome on the motorway. But I need the money to put to the new car. It will be like loosing an arm, I know it inside out!.

So because I have bought another car (an Audi S4, V8 if your interested) my BX will be available in a couple of weeks :(

I havent had chance to wash and photo the car yet, plus I don't know how to get photos on here yet.

Ive just dug the photos out from when it was on ebay in 2004. Ill put one or two up tomorrow for a taster for the lads. I like this car a lot and the mods suit it. Do you know it was in a magazine feature himbo, from when a lad called vince had it.

I myself would be making a bid for this car too if i wasnt so attached to my red one ive had for 9 years. We have also had a triton green 16v and i know how nice they look in the flesh. Ijust hope it goes to somone on here and does not fall into the wrong hands like so many of them do :(

Thats interesting robin, I did not know it had been in a magazine feature!

Do you have a copy of the feature?

Just for info, re the Ebay pictures, I removed all the transfers that were on the front doors and have a proper steering wheel fitted. That wheel in the photo was leathal on fast bends.

All this talk is making me want to keep it!! But I am commited to the Audi now! It is guarenteed to make you smile, especially the exhaust popping and farting on over-run! Can I buy it!
