A search reveals NGK BCP7ET are the spark plugs to get, but am I right? I thought the 16v had three pronged plugs, and these aren't are they?

What is the recommended plug - recommended by you out there as opposed to 'the book'...?

I though 7ET where the 3 electrode...... which would be correct for the 16v, Allthough 2 electrode plugs are the way to go for the later incarnations fitted to 406 and so on. Usually BPR6EK which solve most Coil pack issues on 306's 406 and xantia etc! whatever the "book" says should be fitted.

Thanks! I found I had a set of Bosch single electrode plugs in my last 16v. These were replaced by three-prongers but I couldn't remember what type.

The number of prongs is irellevant, they only determine how long the plug lasts. When the gap to one electrode becomes too great, the spark will automatically jump to the next nearest. More prongs, more miles.

I've got Nippon Denso IK22's in mine. Never looked back after 20k miles and should last another 10k.

Denso plugs are pretty good, but they are an 'investment'. I believe ECP are now a main stockist so should be easy to come buy.

I have OEM Equeyem plugs in mine, with bosch silicone leads.

the 'T' at the end of the plug number refers to Triple, 'S' = single,
the number refers to the heat rating on the plug, the higher the hotter it can run/burn, no idea what any additoinal letters mean though! the wife's run on either 'N' or 'KC' ngk plugs! :?
the 8v 309's used to run bcpr6es iirc.
