16v engines

Post by Gary C »

Just been outbid on 2 x 16v engines. Started at £300. Took it up to £431 which was £20 over my original top figure. C'est la vie. Would have gone higher if they were more local. Bertie will just have to wait for his new engine.

If I had £6k I could grab a bargain engine that comes free with a valver that hasn't moved for 10 years!

Looking for an engine, complete if possible and one that has not run a big end.

Have picked up an engine in Wales with a damaged block but most of it is trash. Block will probably end up in the scrap pile as it is holed and I wouldn't trust to a welded repair. Few good bits on it though and added to other bits should have enough good parts to build into another block if found.

I'm asking around, see if one turns up. I've got a slightly warn head i'm keeping for a rainy day but if you get really stuck let me know.
