Citroën BX - XPO - A Crank For The D6C Engine
In March I found a crank journal measuring undersize, creating quite a quandary. In this article, I'll try to share my learning, ups, and downs, with you.

Citroën BX – XPO – Building The Mi16 Bottom End
A month since building the cylinder, I had to get on with building the bottom end. A few parts to clean and put together. How hard can it be? It should be plain sailing unless I do something really stupid.

Citroën BX – XPO – Building The Mi16 Bottom End Continued
When I last wrote about the rebuild of the engine for XPO, the project was at a bit of a low point. A host of things were absorbing my "free time". Then when I did get a moment, it wasn't exactly plain sailing. Admittedly snapping the piston rings was a mistake entirely of my own doing. But new rings have arrived, sort of, let the building of the bottom end commence!

You are on the home run now, engine wise at least.

Citroën BX – XPO – Mi16 Engine Assembly and Cambelt
With the head and bottom end restored, I could finally complete the MI16 engine assembly. But it wasn't going to go completely smoothly!

Re: The BX Project
Just had a read Vanny. I had wondered how it was going, your updates had been a more regular to date. Anyway, looks like you found a bit of time and made some good progress that allows to carry on with it when able. That saw clearly came in handy. Good to see the engine is getting rebuilt as well.

Citroën BX – XPO – Repair Panel Body Cut
Before I can put the engine back into XPO, I need to tackle the bodywork. I'll need to take a body cut from another, but how much will I need?

Citroën BX - XPO - Welding the Suspension Turret
Non-structural repairs seemed a good place to start the welding on XPO. But rot in the suspension turret panel soon changed that!
I don't claim to be a welding hero or perfectly neat, but it's functional and better than the rot it replaces

Citroën BX – XPO – Welding the Scuttle Pt1
With the suspension turret repaired, I could turn my mind to making repair pieces and welding up the scuttle. Using the highly technical process of CAD.

Citroën BX – XPO – Welding Repair of the Scuttle Pt2
At last, the final scuttle repair can begin. This seems like a simple piece to weld in, but for the next panel to align, it needs to be neat.

Citroën BX – XPO – Donor Panel A-Pillar Repair - Eps20
In this article, I tackle an inner A-pillar repair to the donor body panel. Now the Mega Shed is built, I can plough on with the XPO project.

The interlude didn't go unnoticed Vanny, I wondered what was happening. I just read through it all and then lower down, saw your car covered in snow.

Citroën BX - How To - Door Pillar Repair
Legend has it, that BX doors regularly fall off. They don't, but it's often close. Let's tackle a Citroen BX door pillar repair, and keep that door firmly fixed to the car!

Re: The BX Project
I'm slowly catching up. In real-time, XPO is actually getting new parts put on now, rather than just never-ending welding. Continues to be slowed by other distractions, and doing the near-side steering rack gaitor is a battle of willpower.
Re: The BX Project
I think it's one of those jobs that can take ages or just go right, if you can replicate the exact way you did it last time which worked, that would be good.
I will have a read of the above but have just spent the day doing a bearing and reluctor so will save it for now.
It all went well but a day crawling around the floor getting up and down all the time .... I bought a Milwaukee WiFi impact in the end, it's great, got it set up with the app.
