Well, a lot of time has passed since I last updated the #CitroenBX XPO build progress, but work continues.

Before work continues on the engine bay, I need to tackle the steering rack boots. And they are just the start of the problems!

With so many corroded metal parts on XPO, I took a dive into DIY cleaning and plating.
Oh, how I wish I had just let grown-ups do it!

With the windscreen surround repaired and new glass in, the focus moves to the scuttle. Refitting the blower, washer bottles and a small welding repair.

While the A-pillar rebuild on the XPO project seemed like a big challenge, restoring the electrics has proven far more taxing.

The start of 2024 brings a new article on the XPO restoration. Whoop. Anyone on here still watching?

With the interior electrics repaired and reinstalled, I could finally move onto the interior installation. Well most of it.

Moving out of XPO's interior and starting to prepare the engine bay for the arrival of the engine, starting with the electrics. This article looks at the engine bay wiring, which is just as bad as the interior!

Only a few years after starting, the 16v gearbox was overhauled and bolted back onto the engine, ready for installation.
