Crap! I did a classic mistake many has done before me.
I missed the spacer that is under the cylinder head bolts, it had fall on the floor and rolled away. I looked in all holes and thougt it was there.
Has anyone repaired this before? Can it be good with chemical metal or does it need welding?
Cleaned the area with a dremel.

when i rebuilt my lummp fromthe belt snapping i dropped all the bolts in forgetting the spacers but realised son as the socket driver i had wouldnt fit in the bolt holes to reach the bolt without the spacer! but its easily done!
i am not sure if the bolts have anything lubricating around them or not?? if not then you may with anyluck be able to get away with a jb weld or similar to the area?? (a mate of my bro's jb welded the alternator bracket back up on his 16v golf many years ago!! lasted for the time he had the car!!!)

Itr has been done many times and I beleive repairs have been done.
IIRC there is a thread on the database about this and I think I posted about it as a mate has repaired a couple of these mishaps.
I will try and find out more for you.

Bought some Super Steel Epoxy and glued the sh*t. Time will tell if it works
Im very lucky that the engine is out of the car, otherwise it had been much more difficult. This Epoxy should stand 150 degrees, if it gets that hot there the engine is crap anyway. It will be in contact with coolingwater, but that is not so agressive. I have big hope about it now
Ive assembled a couple of engines like this before, and im aware of the issue and I did it anyway. I was tired and stressed, maybe its the cause. This thread hopefully prevent others from doing the same mistake. Always triple-check that the spacers are in all holes!

Yes, it works. Use brake cleaner to clean and a top quality epoxy.
You may also have to helicoil the thread in the cylinder block as this car also be damaged by head bolt being screwed too far. Finally make sure you remove the water pump and check for damage done by bolt.
I did this mistake myself whilst working at a main dealership. I then put the second headgasket on upside down. The ensuing smoke on start-up was unbelievable!!
