Yep :D

The E reg is out on loan to a friend but is currently parked up feeling sorry for it's self at the moment

The F reg (pride and joy) is tucked up in the garage safe and sound for the winter :D

The G reg has been bought from Adie as a winter project. with the hope of saving it. I won't lie and say that it is rough around the edges, but has MOT untill Aug'07 and tax till Feb'07. I'm going to drive it around for a few weeks and see what I think.

Will have to get a few picture up of the showroom, sorry I mean driveway.

Looks like the wheel will fit fine but sticks out from the dash quite a bit. But actually with my height (I am 6'2") I think this will be a lot better - the extra inch or so means I don't knock my knees on the wheel any more. Bonus!

So I'm wondering if I can move the stalk housing outwards along with the wheel

Hi Jay,

I sold it July'05 to Tim2cv on this site
At the time I hardly used it and it was wasting away on the driveway at the old house.

He has since sold it on through ebay to a Citroen enthusiast.

But we've both learnt the errors of our ways and bought other 16v's since :D

Good to see you back on the forum :D

From someone who knows, if you love your valver hang on to it! If its costing you money just put it away until you can afford it or fix it yourself.

hi there,
tell me about it!! had mine about 1.5 years spent over 4k and ive not driven a valver on the road properly yet! but saying that it will all be worth it when i finally do as ive modded mine a fair bit now. and thinking of parts already installed and yet to go in she should have about 170 bhp minimum if i dont buy any more crap.

LEATHER WHEEL

Post by BrianK »

I think there's a way of fitting these leather wheels without them sticking out. The BX steering column is tapered, and the leather wheel tube is longer than the BX tube before you get to the splines. It therefore jams early and the splines do not go all the way. Ream out the first bit of the leather wheel's tube and hey presto it should slide home without sticking out. I'll do some measurements on this.

Excellent Brian a few people have mentioned some bosses cause the wheel to sit proud of the stalks - luckily the OBA ones from ECP seem to sit about right though.

Cheers
