ecu eprom 16v '88

Post by daaristieweer,wiedurft »

I've got an 16v mk1 with ecu 0261200119.
From the beginning there are problems with idling, it runs uneven, and it looks like the engine is running sometimes on 3 cilinders.
Between 2000 and 3000 rpm there is a flat spot, just like you give gas/ no gas in a split of a second.

Everything is changed by new or second hand products.
Wiring is ok

On the eprom is a code on a sticker, 0261356449. Is this normal or can anyone give me the answer on this problem,

Your ecu code is correct for the car but I am not sure about the chip number.
Will have to look at a few ecus to see if the chip code should match that on the casing.
