I bought mine from GSF, and they were not very expensive.
I often see them on Ebay too.
The Metal clip should be fitted using a pair of wood working pliers/pincers,
the type you use to pull nails out of planks.
Easy when you know how.

The metal ring will be what is called an "oakley ring" and you can buy smart crimping tools to crimp them neatly - as Mike says they are like pincers but the proper tools are longer handled and the better ones have jaws on the end and on the side for ease of access.

Im off to the scrap yard tommorrow to see if i can grab a couple but failing that im pleasantly suprised how cheap they are.

This is one of the forums aims Adie there is a wealth of knowledge on here and further to your thread in th emembers area you will find most of the jobs you need to do won't cost an arm and a leg if you do the laboiur yourself.
