The Wanderer Returns...

Post by jayw »

Hi all,

Heard there was a new forum underway a while back, Luke's doing i see (well done that man!).

I dissapeared off the face of the earth with too great a workload and too little time.

Those who recall FCS 04 may recall my White P2, well she's still going strong after spending a year in the garage having a part rebuild & some subtle modification.

She was also joined by an unmolested Grey P2 a year her junior just for good measure!

Nice to see most of the old group are still owners!

Would be nice to meet up at some point. Haven't had a chance to see if you've any plans for a meet.

Jay.

Welcome back Jay :D

I came down to yours to have the panels off that GTi hurricane and that must have been 18 months ago :?:

So the cars still off the road then :?:

Hi Mike, What happened to the Triton?

No, they're both on the road, the white one was 'finished' a few months ago but then ate another gearbox so came off the road briefly while i found another but she's spot on. I've spent a lot of time & money on it but As always there's a catalogue of things i'd like to do to it but it's just a question of time availibility!

The Grey one is and will always remain standard throughout.

Thanks Tim! Incidently it was you who spurred me in this direction, i was down your way last weekend and thought i saw your car (assuming you've taken the Morrettes off? (last Tuesday near Hayle) Was it you?
Alas the modifications are more down-to-earth, more time and money was spent on overhauling the rest of the car than balls-out mods. I'll go into detail when i have a bit more time.

Here they are in all their glory:
