Dash bulbs

Post by djoptix »

I've been saving up jobs that need doing behind the dash (finally install ICE, replace heater cable, speedo cables, etc etc) and one is replacing the bulbs behind the clocks - all of the ones on the right hand side have gone :?

I seem to remember from the old forum that someone had bought a massive stock of these bulbs. Anyone here...? And if so, do you want to sell me some?

Timmo bought a job lot of fruit machine bulbs IIRC - you can buy the actual bulbs from citroen without the holders which makes them much cheaper though.

Hi,
I also bought a load of these off ebay. Just do a search 'fruit machine bulb' and theres loads on there at the minute - think they're the 5mm ones 1.2 watts 12v. Perhaps Timmo can confirm this?

Cheers

Vaguely related subject - depending on your head unit for your stereo install, if you need a switched 12V and/or dimming facility I can advise how to wire it up really easily on the BX. Let me know if you'd like me to explain.

Must do a guide for Luke to put up on here, I even have pics from my uninstall from my phase 2 which were good enough to remind me what I needed to do when I put it back into the phase 1 a few weeks back.

Probably don't need a dim facility but switched 12v would be good. PM me? Maybe this could fit in with my plan to install a start button too...

Nice one Adrian - I keep recruting people to do guides so hopefully will soon have a very handy collection to post up.
If anyone is doing a job that others might have to tackle please take some pics and write some notes for me to use on the mainsite.

Cheers
