I've just been reminded why i love my BX's so much:
Went out for a little drive to get half hour peace from the missus in the White one, drove around quite normally for 10 minutes heading out of town and then pulled onto a little B road... and thats where it all the fun started...
You know the kind of quiet back-road, sat there perfectly in 3rd, right in the power band, watching the rev counter flitting between 3k and 5 & 1/2k as you buzz from pedal to pedal, mixed with the occasional grasp for second as a sharp wet bend imminently arrives infront of you.
Best 15 minutes fun i've had in a car for a while
BX forever
What it's all about...

My Signum 150bhp company car with more torque than the Bx just can't compete due to it's lard ass modern safety features.
Getting in the Bx is like sitting in a tin can in comparison with crisp packet thick panels that help keep the weight down make for a more involved driving relationship

I know what you mean, these modern cars may have fancy technology, lots of shiny badges and big wheels, but most of them are just OBESE!robin hughes wrote:been driving the green one lately as i have no car at the mo and is sooooooooo much smoother than the rst. There are quite a number of modern 150-160bhp family-haulers to choose from, but i don't think many would beat the BX off the trafic lights. I know, I keep doing it all the time! (closely linked to my 15mpg fuel consumption figure)
Not only that, but least i can hear my engine when i'm thrashing it, i'm not coccooned in a 2 tonne sound booth with jellys for suspension and marzipan for brakes.
