Robin,
I paid about £370 IIRC for the insurance this year on the Bx. Fully comp' with protected NCB.
That was with Churchill, might be worth a call to them. I've had a bit of aggro with them over proof of NCB due to buying it over the internet but they don't seem any worse than the others.

The thing i learned when trying to work out differing insurance quotes is: DON'T bother trying
Though, some really good advise is to go to Confused.com and get a quote there, it really does make a difference.
I pay £300 FC for the white one and an additional £80 TPFT for the grey one (but i can't drive them both at the same time) with Highway Insurance through Confused.com.
Here's an insurance oddity: I get NO discount for having Cat1 alarms on both cars (plus a cat2 on the white one). If i had NO alarms the price would be the same! This applies to all the insures i've been to!
That tells me (in the insurers opinion) they're either impossible to steal, or not worth stealing And i KNOW the former isn't true...

my insurance is £305 fc with protercted, legal, curtosey car, audio, blah blah blah and also inclkudes Full comprehensive rac breakdown! (home start, roadside, recovery, onward travel, overnight accom. curtosey car!)
thats parked ont he street too! althoguh like jay no discount for the cat1 but it did activate the theft cover when it was fitted!
strangely thoguh the wife's fiat is only £50 a year cheaper for the same cover inc rac! (*that was after a log of haggling and pointing out that the renewal was only £20 less than my policy price despite the 10 insurance group difference!)
insurance is an entity all to its self!
(confused.com had mine down as a 4x4gti! )

As for driving both cars... it actually says on the policy that only the vehicle i'm driving is insured at that point, therefor, if i crash the white one at the same time the grey one caught fire in the garage i'd get nowt for the grey one.... or something to that effect.
That probably stops idiots crashing into their own car and claiming for both in a 1st & 3rd party manner
