i would want a 1.6 because i like the bx in genral. its a special edition athena with the velour interior and its 99.9 % rust free. and worth the £80.00 asking price ive beeen offered it for. It doesnt have to be a gti to be a good car as i like the bx as it is.

You see there is life outside of a 16v, as a daily hack a 1.6 BX or diesel model makes good sense, there comfy smooth and well equipped. Agreed the 16v is the ultimate BX. Ive had plenty of non 16vs and my favourate was 19GTi Auto, not quick but smooth and a good drive.

The 1.6 Carb manual is quite a nippy car compared to its rivals of its day, I had a 1.6TZS manual which was proper fast for a 1.6.

Well i was offered this athena for spares to use on our 16v,s. Ive seen the car and its mint theres only one bit of rust and thats the usual passenger side inner wing. Its a light goldy/silver colour with grey velour interior the engines very very clean and the rear wheels are straight so no bearing problems. As far as i know its still taxed and mot,d the carbs shot and the owner doesnt want to spend on it. and hes offered it to me for £80.00  . What i plan to do is if i get a carb on it ill put it in the auto trader and sell it on it will be a good car for somebody. I would like to keep it but with 2 16v,s a gti and an rst and with space at a premium its just not pheesable
