Rear bumper corners

Post by csg100 »

Anyone got a spare pair of the little bits of trim that go on the upper corners of the rear bumper? Ideally with the mounting bolts too, but colour is not important.

Cheers

I had some of these, I must still have them. And once you've bought a pair, I'll find em

I must be a bit thick this morning

Do you mean the "eyebrows" on the top of a Phase 2 16v bumper or the black/red inserts around the corner of the bumper that the plastic coating peels away from.

I ask because I might have the latter but not the former.

 I said i would sort some out for Carl but I have not done it yet.

Marx, i have a black Ph2 bumper minus the "eyebrows" if that is of any use to you its not mint but its repairable, yours for the price of postage and a couple of beers.

LOL i posted a Xantia bonnet and spoiler yesterday, next day within the UK and that was £6 + VAT so i dont think it will be life changing amounts of money to send to the land of tulips.

Bloody hell thats cheap! Who was that with? I usually use parcel2go.

I thought things like bonnets were over most couriers size limits & usually carry hefty surcharges.

It was the length that i was expecting to kill the International post! I would have expected something like £50+

Yep the eyebrow thingies were the one's I was after.

Jezzie is sorting me out with some, although if Vanny have some red one's that might be easier (will save me respraying). And Jezzie could keep his with the bumper and send them to Marx....?

Thanx Jez,

But i don't need a complete bumper, just the eyebrowes
Then i'm (or better the bx) complete....

A second mortgage won't be needed but a ph2 rearbumper in good nick will sell for aound 200 euro's. (about 150 pounds) Then when i think of the fact i paid 125 euro's for the complete car..... ofcourse without the ph2 conversion.

Saves you time wrapping it in and me buying some ugly dutch beer

Had a chance to get the eyebrows off yet Jezzie?

I'm almost motivated enough to start thinking about maybe doing some work on the car soon :)
