Amazing really my love affair with all the BX started in 1985 when my dad started a new job and his company car was a 12 month old 19RD in black, I was 10 and had never seen antything like it! Before that we had a hearing aid beige Sierra 1.6L estate!

And I got my white one because it's mint and I had to have something in the garage as a distraction
Perhaps like you Tim, early year influences also account. My neighbour had a TXD as his company car ~17 years ago and I was always fascinated.

I think this conversation is taking place over two topics.
The car in question was that white estate you and Tim2cv saw at my house the other weekend. Which model was it then

I bought my Green one because it was low milage, and certain parties on this forum said "Oh yeah, it's been resprayed in metallic green, I think its a Ford colour like they get on Mondeo's."
I thought it was a nice deep forest green, so imagine my suprise when we rounded the corner of the sellers road and I said "Right, keep an eye out for a green B-OHGODMYEYESIMBLIND!!!" as the traffic-lights-on-lsd-green beast appeared.
