Hi!
What is the difference between the late and the earlier 16v pump model?
Would it be possible to fit in my 88 16v some different pump from another BX model? I'm wondering because i have a good working one from the 16 TRS model.

It's the pipe entry angle.
They are not interchangeable as far as i'm aware.

are you talking about the metal ones, if so you can buy the tool and make them as a mate if mine has it.

Can you find out where he got it?
Wasn't aware they were available in the public domain!
Would be VERY handy to get one.
Jay.

Unless my memory is playing tricks, I'm sure I've heard of people buying the tool off Pleiades to do them.

We bought a new pipe last year, you'd need to ask John where it came from.

Been down the shed and lo and behold - 2 pumps!
And they are different.
One has an entry point alongside the pulley in a cast section extending from the main body. The second has an entry point behind the pulley on the main body.

hi there,
thats the tool my mate has! it looks a bit pricey but well worth it as making your own pipes can save you hundreds of pounds.
