K&N Induction kit question

K&N Induction kit question
Right, i have bought a K&N kit from the worst place possable and it is aledgedly for the round entry type AFM found on the later Ph2 cars. Now i have looked at this and as i have the square type entry AFM on my car i dont know whether it's the right kit for my Brother's car or not.
Anyone able to help with this ? the obvious thing to do is have a look at Adam's car but i can't till the weekend and if it is wrong i want to get it back in the post.

So it is the right looking thing for a round entry then?
I have a top hat adapter thing for my car as it is square entry but this kit photo'd is for a Jreg Bx.

ive got a flat panel K&N in mine so that doesn't help much, but in all honest they are pretty easy to adapt to any shape/size hole. Looking at it, and comparing the many i've seen on 205's it looks about the right size, you have to unbolt the AFM from the airbox to fit it though, and i think if your going to be driving the car it helps to have a second support for the AFM, they bounce around a bit otherwise!

Dont think i have explained this very well, the kit i have pictured is supposed to be for a round entry AFM which is what i want, to fit a 91 J 16v. It just don't look right to me, it looks like it's mean't to fit straight onto an inlet pipe rather than the AFM?.

Yes, for the BX AFM you need a adaptor like this:

Green Cotton has this adaptors (top hat) too, and they are cheaper, but i don't know whats the model for the BX.

Jez to answer ypur question yes that kit is for a round entry AFM as used on the very late BX 16valve.
It is the same type of kit I sold to TNS who made a top hat adaptor to fit the cone to his valver.
