Hi,
I used the hammerite with waxoyl throughout on mine. I bought this in the tins that can be pressurised with a compressor / schultz gun - and I'm well happy with the results

Good stuff, the one with waxoyl, the cheap tetrasyl is the stuff of legend which hardens and peels! The secret tho is getting it all bone dry and dust/mud/old crap free, if in boubt get some thinned out normal waxotyl into the front seams first and then put the other on And let it DRY before driving

I am a fan of Schultz myself but it is so much easier with a gin and compressor.
The good thing is that the BX seems sturdy so you don't really need to go mad at it to help preserve it just sensible proceedure I guess.

Any decent shot of alcohol is a definite precursor to getting under the car
