my car colour scheme and arch cutting!! 8)

Post by thanuttiscotsman »

hi folks,
after months of thinking i have decided to paint my car venetian red and to go with polar white viper stripes down the center. the only thing i still cant decide is whether to cut/trim out some of the arches! im not thinking of taking alot off just so it was more in parrallel with the front ones as that thing has always looked a bit stupid to me. so what do you think, trim the rear arches or leave them as are?

cheers rossco

arches

Thought provoking - I think some paintshop and some alloy wheel combos could help with this one

rear wheels are covered becasue there french and it reduces drag. Personally i like being different and the arches set the car apart from every other car (that isn't a Cit).

Oh and make it harder to clamp!

I agree that the covered rear arches do make the BX look different, but then opening them up would in turn make it look even more different (from the rest).

I personally think the BX's styling is spot on as it is and theres VERY little i'd change (except making the bumpers deeper) but the BX Touring Car with it's cut away arches does look the doggies!

If it's your thing i'd go for it, just do a good job!
Now listen here you mullet...

I think a re working of the rear arches would be good if you can decide on a good shape and finish it nicely, but as for putting strips over it i'd say you were being a complete **** scotsman. :P

I'm with Tim on this one, the arch extensions add character.

The only way to improve them is to fit a pair of Bx Sport slash cut ones.

You can't say its not sporty :D
I reckon it is good to see something different especially on a BX - each to their own I say.
