That will affect the handling of the car, it wont track that well.

Of course it will effect the handling, but i can't imagine it would be to a significant or detrimental effect. What do you mean by 'it wont track that well'? If your talking about vehicle alignment then i can't see that you would loose any significant adjustment to maintain the existing toe in.

I've just checked this on my car and can't see it as problem as some have exaggerated it to be.I haven't got the box in the car at the moment but last time it was in there I know it was almost flush with the outer tip of the end of the anti roll bar.
I get 1.75 turns on full left lock and about 1.3-1.4 turns on full right lock until my 16 inch rimms are on the same plain as the ARB,it may go even further but until i refit the engine and box next week i can't confirm this.
I then took my Citroen Relay van for a spin and that is 6.5 turns lock to lock, being a commercial vehicle of course.I drove it round and round a very small roundabout and it didnt even need half a turn
I really can't see this being a issue unless you doing very tight manuvers at low speeds and even then how often do you hit full lock? :?

It's not the end of the world but it is very noticable. Do you know anyone with a GTi6? If so, take it for a spin and see.

U-turns are where you notice it the most and also low speed parking maneuvers.

At speed there's no issue.

If you need to do a U-turn anywhere you better make sure there are no cars comin for a mile coz you will definitely need to do a 3 point turn.

Or spend a half hour fitting a hydrualic by pass block so you can hydraulically lock the rear wheels, much more 'french'

It is only quarter of a turn diffrence from centre to full right lock compared to full left lock. Load of shite :?: not worth worrying about peeps.

Awesome!

All I can say is that on a 306 it is very noticable.

Someone on the Zx16v net forum has fitted a Gti6 box to a Zx , I'd be interested as to what he his views are , I 'll be seeing the car soon so a drive could be in order , he said it was quite a straightforward job

it would be a straight forward swap on the bx too,if it wasn't for the fact that they is know where to fasten the accumulator too. :? ....anyway looking forward to seeing how the old lass smokes in a few weeks.
have you smoked in that ZX yet?

No not yet , when I had my Bx's years ago you could smoke the Tyres really well on them , yours will be something else , hopefully I might see it at a show in the future
