Mike, did that price include the downpipe too?

I'm realising that my BX is probably never going to get finished if I try and fully restore it so I'm considering lightening it and taking it on track days. IIRC my downpipe is OK so I could build a new system on it, but a new one would be a bonus. Not too bothered about power gains, though I believe removing the front box aids flow... but surely one less box = at least 5kg saved.

Oh and, will it get through its MOT now...?

I retained the original siamesed downpipe and got the exhaust fitter to sleeve weld the new stainless onto it as the point where it levels out under the car as thats where the centre baffle plate in the OE downpipes ends.

I've never had an aftermarket downpipe myself as I firmly believe that the non OE ones aren't as good as Citroen's.

My MOT man is more than happy with the noise level of the full system without a cross box, so shoudn't be a problem.

Agreed, that's why I was asking. I have a Walker one but it does have the full length split. Where did you get it done?

At the local Powerflow distributor, which here in Leicester is the aptly named Mr Tyre.
