Alloy wheels
Alloy wheels
Hi - just wondering what the best way to sort out alloys is when a close family member has exfoliated them rather enthusiastically with the curb
alloys
Hi
Really depends on the rim and how deep the curbing is.
If it is deep then ideally a lathe or specialist tooling is required to take the alloy back to undamaged surface.
If it is light then you may be able to rub it down and polish it back yourself.
Are they std 16v rims?
Cheers
Luke

Ah right - yeh it's really just scuffed around the rim, nothing too deep but surface has rubbed off. I'll try & get someone to see what they think & get a quote, if not will post a photo, thanks for all the advice!
Where abouts in Cornwall are you Timmo? I have friends in Camborne area - had first ride in a BX16V down there! Unfortunately it got sold to some idiot who wrecked it .

Small world indeed! My friend in Camborne had a red H plate for a while, no gold though!
I'm in Worthing (next to Brighton) but tend to travel round the country a lot so could always stop off somewhere & get wheel sorted, on a slightly limited budget though so may have to wait a bit, had several bills for sorting things out already, the joys of BXs hehe.
