Oh how I love thee let me count the ways

Post by jonsgot »

1] Your lines (not to everyone's taste)
2] Your MPG
3] Your power
4] Your colour
5] Your 0-60
6] Your 60-0
7] Your top speed
8] Your ability to hold the road
9] Your suspension
10] Your hidden stereo
11] The way I don't worry about you when I park you in a dodgy area
12] The way you don't cost me money for just sitting of the drive getting older
13] The noise you make when I hit 4000rpm
14] The way leave the other cars at the lights
15] The way you hang to the bumpers of the cars that cost 10 times more
16] For being the fastest accelerating Citroen on the road
17] For your spotlights being standard
18] For fitting my family and luggage
19] For not needing any modifications
20] For being worth more than the day I bought you
21] For making me feel like a teenager again (not a father of two).
22] For putting a smile on my face every day. :D

I wasn't intending to write any of that but it was just so easy. Anyone got any more?

All good stuff, not sure I agree with point 11 though
Prefer it to the Lamborghini, like Signor Gandini!

i can back up point 11 though - i live on the lower clapton road, arguably one of the dodgiest areas of hackney which in turn is one of the dodgiest ares in the UK! park the BX in a side street and (touch wood) it's never had any unwanted attention. you're always seeing abandoned BMWs, Fords, Vauxhalls etc, that have obv. been stolen, but because the BX is so unusual the local kids don't touch it! 8)

ive never had any trouble with the bx either (when i lived up north) apart from once when every friday night without fail the back end of my old gti 8v used to get keyed  not a problem here though. But i do worry when the escort rst is parked up as last time someone crowbared the pasenger door back and attemped to nick it just before the previous owner got fed up of it and sold it to me... In the past 17 years theives have tried to get it 4 times

Also like it for being relatively simple, as opposed to modern cars.
So much electronic stuff and things noone really needs (hey, the C5 with all that computer things weighs 50% more than my BX!).

Whichs brings me to: Why do cars become bigger and bigger and why does everyone need to drive large SUVs...oh forget it

people say to me why dont you get a new car but im not a fan of the euro box look! plus the electronics are far to complicated and only more to go wrong. My favourite set up is the k- jetronic injection system on the xr3i/1.6 i ghia easy to work on simple and never gives any probs
