I'm keeping the BX!


Its finished......

But it started in september 2006 here:







By November I had bought this:



A 2.5 V6 for 500 squid. It had a very broken engine and some corrosion issues, not mention some light crash damage......













I spent the winter out in the cold stripping the whole car and then re-building it

Very very impressive Chris, like the subtle understated sleeper look, is it badged as a sleeper?

250BHP aren't they, or is it more that that now?

Impressive mate but that cant have been cheap! How come you took the 3.2 GTa rocker covers off though?

Problems with oil breathers.

Thanks, they're 250 as standard with euro 3 spec emiisions gear - 3 cats in the exhaust, with the euro 2 headers (tubular, no cats) a de-cated centre section and a remap I'm expecting around 280 - 290bhp.

I've got a R/R session booked for tomorrow, will know more after that and will be making a decision on giving it to John Noble for a Uni chip (Dastek)

how did you get the plug covers so clean? Did you get them blasted then repainted? Also the plenum, mine (I have a 147GTA) needs a good clean in those areas and would like to do a similar thing to improve the lump. (Although those chrom,e ventricals to the Alfa's heart are lovely)

I doused them in brake cleaner to remove the oil, cleaned the up with a brass wire brush in an electric drill, blasted them with a plasticote primer, then 3 coats of alfa titainium grey, hand painted the script then gave them 2 coats of laquer.
